If the two rooms are clearly different in size, the 7+9 combination is the most efficient: it makes no sense to install 9,000 BTU in a 12 m² room. With 7,000 BTU in the small room and 9,000 in the large one, the system operates with the right power in each zone.

Can the zones operate at different temperatures at the same time?

Yes. Each indoor unit has independent control, so they can be set to different temperatures, in different modes (cool/heat), or one can be on while the other is off.

How much facade space does the outdoor unit occupy?
